Who are we?
We are three young French people (Katell, Sterenn and Vincent) aged between 22 and 23, volunteering with the organisation ‘Cote Ouest’ which is in charge of the European Short Film Festival of Brest and organises it every year in November. Our common interest for the construction and the development of Europe, linked to our curiosity for culture as a whole, has drawn us together to plan and carry out this youth exchange project.
The project:
It is an exchange of young European people, with the goal of promoting European short film as well as introducing the sphere of that discipline in Europe to those young people. The project will take place during the 25th edition of the European Short Film Festival of Brest, from the 8th to the 14th of November 2010. It will be the occasion for the participants to live a moment for discovering and sharing with other Europeans on the theme of short film.
Our objectives:
• Introduce European short films to young Europeans.
• Introduce the European Short Film Festival of Brest as well as the collaborating festivals from other countries of Europe.
• Promote the European culture through youth exchanges while emphasizing the participation and involvement of those young people.
• Promote European co-operation in the field of culture.
• Reinforce mutual understanding between young and less young from different countries of Europe.
